Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 8:30 p.m. Monday to the area of County Road 61 just south of State Route 274 in reference to a Washington Township Police Department cruiser that struck a deer.
Officer Earl Wisener, 37, reportedly was operating a north- bound cruiser en route to an emergency response when the vehicle struck a deer. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene. The officer did not report any injuries.
• No injuries were reported in a crash Monday afternoon in front of Honda of America Mfg. at East Liberty, 11000 State Route 347, involving a semi tractor-trailer and a car.
Deputies report Carrie Travis, 23, of Columbus, was operat- ing a westbound car on S.R. 347 about 3:55 p.m. and attempted
to make a left turn to the entrance to Honda. She reportedly failed to yield to an eastbound semi operated by Joshua Warner, 26, of Toledo, and her car struck the semi.
Travis was cited for failure to yield. Damage was heavy to the semi and moderate to the car. The drivers were wearing their seat belts.
