Firefighters from the Lakeview Fire Department quickly contained a reported fire at a residence at 270 Bentz Ave., Lakeview, around 7:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 26.
Crews were dispatched to that address shortly before 7 a.m. on a report of a residential fire. Upon their arrival, firefighters discovered the cause of the smoke was from a stove pipe within a wall.
They accessed the residence through the attic and were able to contain the fire a short time later.
Some smoke damage was reported.
