Bellefontaine City Council in a regular meeting Tuesday approved two measures to help secure federal reimbursements to local governments for coronavirus-related expenses.
Council adopted a resolution authorizing city officials to apply for federal funds in conjunction with the C.A.R.E.S Act. The city auditor’s office is actively tracking all expenses related the coronavirus that will be necessary when applying for the reimbursements.
On third reading, council approved an ordinance authorizing the Bellefontaine Fire Department to apply for up to $1,000 of federal funds being made available to cover the cost of PPE supplies.
The next regular Bellefontaine City Council meeting is 7:30 p.m. on June 23.
