Vicky A. Sink, 47, and Keith J. Sink Sr, 47, both of 4127 Township Road 221, Huntsville, were charged Wednesday after they threatened the estranged wife of Ms. Sink’s son and rammed her car outside her 1004 W. Columbus Ave. residence.
Ms. Sink was charged with assault, menacing and obstruction of justice, while Mr. Sink was charged with menacing, obstruction of justice and criminal trespassing.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to Melissa Wilbanks’ residence around 9:50 p.m.
Ms. Wilbanks had obtained a civil protection order against Robert Wilbanks and reported a violation at the police department. When she returned home to the property which is owned by the Sinks, she found the locks were changed and she could not get in.
Officers contacted Mr. Wilbanks and heard Ms. Sink in the background. Both claimed they knew nothing about the lock change. They were informed Ms. Wilbanks needed access to the home.
While she was at the residence, Ms. Wilbanks said the Sinks came in a pickup truck and blocked her car in the drive with the victim and her son inside.
Ms. Sink allegedly threatened to break the windows as Mr. Sink stood by her side. They then got back in the pickup and Ms. Sink backed it into Ms. Wilbanks’ car with the victim and her son inside.
Officers and deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were at the scene and Ms. Sink called the victim to apologize. She also acknowledged the Sinks had changed the locks as it was their property and they could do as they please.
The Sinks were escorted by deputies back to the residence and provided a key to enter. Once inside, Ms. Wilbanks found photographs, jewelry and identification documents missing.
Both Sinks were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
