Casinos combined for more than $411 million in revenue through June
Halfway through the year, tax allocations to Logan County from Ohio’s four major casinos is on pace to exceed last year’s distributions.
So far this year, Logan County has received a combined $275,314.11 between a pair of tax payments from casinos in Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Toledo, according to the Ohio Department of Taxation.
The quarterly tax payment in April totaled $140,356.01. July’s allocation was $134,958.10.
Logan County last year combined to receive $522,929.34.
Locally, the county commissioners have directed county casino allocations toward the ongoing renovation and rehabilitation of the county courthouse.
