Rushsylvania Council moves for November levy request
By THE BELLEFONTAINE EXAMINER STAFF
Rushsylvania Village Council members at their Tuesday evening meeting approved a resolution to place a 1.5-mill replacement levy on the Nov. 7 ballot.
Logan County Auditor Mike Yoder was present at the meeting to present a Certificate of Estimated Property Tax Revenue to be generated for a 1.5-mill replacement levy.
Also at the meeting, members passed an ordinance by emergency measure prohibiting leaving junk, unlicensed or abandoned vehicles on private or public property.
Failure to comply with the ordinance is a minor misdemeanor punishable by a $150 fine for each day and each vehicle in noncompliance.
The village is researching various water tower painting companies, as the water tower was last painted five years ago.
The next regular council meeting is 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, with the board of public affairs meeting at 6:30 p.m. that evening.
