Corinna Sue “Coriy” Hatfield, 59, of Lakeview, OH passed away, Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at her home.
Corinna was born on June 18, 1962, in San Bernardino, CA, a daughter of the late James R. Hanning and Bernice M. White. She was also preceded in death by an infant grandchild.
Coriy is survived by her daughter, Jessica Klaas of Russells Point, OH, a son, Joshuwa Hanning of Florida, her granddaughter, Azraelle Merlene “Azzy” Clinger, and her canine companion, Cooper.
Coriy Hatfield was a woman deeper and more vast than any ocean. Although the passage of time molded her into a calmer and more conservative individual in her latter years, she left a blazing mark on this world fueled with bold passion and fierce love in her wake. The relationships which she shared with those who were close to her were what held her here in this life. Cooper, the last dog she cared for, was her pride and joy. He brought out a softness and a warmness in her that can never be forgotten.
She has a strong affinity for cooking which she shared with strangers and acquaintances alike when she worked as a cook at the Indian Lake Elks, Cranberries, and The Eagles. And long after her working days were over, she shared her passion for cooking with her friends and family to bring them closer together. A lover; a fighter; a mother and a friend, Coriy will forever be missed.
A celebration of Coriy’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
