“This was a great tour,” said Missouri Republican Sam Graves, who is the chairman of the House Subcommittee on Highways and Transit. “It helps us get a grasp on all of the technology that is going into autonomous vehicle research. It is technology that is moving very quickly.”
Graves was joined in the two-hour tour by Ohio Republicans Bob Gibbs, Steve Stivers and Pat Tiberi. They were shown the 7.5-mile high speed track, the 50-acre dynamic vehicle testing pad and test facilities operated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
