The recent receipt of a $3,750 matching Capacity Building Grant from the Ohio Arts Council paves the way for the Logan County Art League to conduct a community needs survey.
The survey will give the group feedback about the programs and features that would be appealing to area residents, league members have said. It also will provide some guidelines for use in determining the type of space the league needs for a new permanent location.
The league’s headquarters were in The Gallery at the Holland at 127 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine, up until near the end of 2017.
It was necessary to vacate the space at that time in conjunction with further renovation by the adjacent Holland Theatre. The vacated gallery will become storage and office space for the theater, which is closed until later this year for the project that includes new seating and basement renovation.
