Mary Rutan Foundation has awarded area agencies and schools grants totaling nearly $35,000 to assist in the funding of programs and services to improve the health and wellness of Logan County.
The grant program focuses on addressing the areas of need and risk for the residents of the community as identified in the county’s 2015 Health Risk and Needs Assessment. Those areas include obesity, lack of physical activity and opiate and heroin abuse.
“Mary Rutan Foundation is proud to partner with our area schools and organizations in pursuit of a healthier Logan County,” said Tammy Allison, the foundation’s chief operating officer.
