Triad’s girls basketball team could not get its offense going Thursday as visiting Shekinah Christian rolled to a 41-28 non-league win.
The Cardinals fall to 2-6 on the season and shot just 19-percent from the field against the Flames. They were 2-of-28 from the three-point line and 2-of-6 from the free throw line.
“I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anything quite like that,” said Cardinal coach Jeff Merklin. “Shekinah sat back in a 1-2-2 zone and packed it in. At some point, you simply have to hit some shots to be able to open up different areas of your offense.
