Nicholas C. Emerich, 30, of 401 West St., was charged today with two counts of domestic violence.
At 1:20 a.m., Megan Hubble, who lives at the same residence, was at the police department to report she was assaulted by the suspect when she returned his vehicle.
He allegedly grabbed her and tried to pull her into the residence. She resisted and he shoved her to the ground. Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department observed the victim had a bloody right knee and muddied clothing.
She also reported he had head-butted her in the mouth earlier in the week. She was treated at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney where she received seven stitches for a wound. She also is under a dentist’s care for damage to her teeth.
Officers located him at the residence and observed the suspect had a wound on his forehead just as Ms. Hubble said he would.
He was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
