A Bellefontaine man who held his girlfriend against her will in a recent domestic incident was among a large group indicted this month in Logan County Common Pleas Court.
Frank V. Johnathan Barnes, 36, of 504 Woodview Drive, faces two counts of domestic violence, a felony of the fourth-degree; two counts of abduction, a felony of the third-degree; one count of felonious assault, a felony of the second-degree; two counts of disrupting public services, a felony of the fourth-degree; one count of intimidation of an attorney, victim or witness in a criminal case, a felony of the third-degree; one count of menacing by stalking, a felony of the fourth-degree.
He was arrested after officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department responded to the Woodview home in the early morning hours of April 7 on a domestic violence report, Logan County Prosecutor Eric Stewart reports.
Officers were unable to find the suspect at the scene but, later located him and took him into custody.
Following his arrest on April 23, Barnes allegedly called the victim and threated her life if she didn’t drop the charges, Stewart said.
