Bellefontaine’s wrestling team rallied to beat host Urbana 42-31 on Wednesday in a dual meet.
The win improves the Chieftains’ dual meet record to 6-2 on the season.
“It’s always good to get a win, but overall we did not wrestle well,” said BHS head coach Aaron LaBatt. “We left too many points out there, took unnecessary risks and did not wrestle to the level we expect.”
Recording wins for the Chieftains were Gaige Reeves (113), Austin Baker (132), Trey Henderson (138), Phil Francis (160), C.J. Cook (170), Garrett Gross (182), Boris Pattison (195) and Bruno Pattison (220).
“Most of our guys took care of business,” said LaBatt. “Boris is really turning a corner right now. He got a pin that sealed the dual for us and I’m very pleased with how he is progressing.”
Bellefontaine is back on the mat Saturday in the Hammer and Anvil Invitational at Western Brown High School.
