Bellefontaine’s boys and girls bowling teams both picked up Central Buckeye Conference wins over host Tecumseh on Tuesday at Victory Lanes in New Carlisle.
The Chieftain boys handled the Arrows 2,613-2,227.
Ian Salyer powered BHS with games of 224 and 202 for a 426 series, Beau Salyer had games of 218 and 192 for a 410 series and Nathaniel Schmid rolled games of 208 and 172 for a 380 series. Isaiah Henry added a 201 game and Caleb Gonterman added a 187 game.
The junior varsity boys team beat Tecumseh 2,254-1,493. Drake Argabright led BHS with games of 207 and 172 for a 379 series and Landon Gibbs had a 189 game.
Bellefontaine’s girls held off Tecumseh 2,292-2,239 for a CBC victory.
“I was pleased tonight to see the girls pull together and win this first road match,” said BHS girls head coach Jane Kline. “We need to improve on the baker games, but for the most part we are coming together as a team.”
Kayla Watkins led the Chieftains with games of 167 and 221 for a 388 series, Brynn Noffsinger had games of 169 and 210 for a 379 series, Ashley Ehmer had games of 187 and 168 for a 355 series and Lindsey Heminger added a 157 game.
In junior varsity action, Bellefontaine defeated Tecumseh 1,914-1,439. Kiana Oppy had a 158 game and a 290 series and Candice Miihlbach had a 172 game for the Chiefs.
Bellefontaine travels to the Raider Collegiate Tournament Saturday at Beaver Vu Bowl in Beavercreek.
