Bellefontaine eighth-grader Chelsea Horsley won a state title Sunday at Harrison High School in the inaugural Ohio Athletic Commission Girls State Wrestling Championships.
Horsley went 3-0 at the OAC tournament to win the 98-pound championship.
She had two pins and an overtime decision to earn the title, including a fall in the finals. Horsley recently finished the regular season for BMS with a 23-7 record.
The Chieftains’ Makayla Young also competed at the OAC state meet and was state runnerup at 90 pounds. Young had a major decision and a pin to reach the state finals. She had a 17-5 regular season record for BMS.
