There was a time not too long ago that the district meet was considered the pinnacle of the Bellefontaine swimming season.

But the bar has been raised. The Chiefs are no longer just happy to get to districts. Their sights are set on qualifying to state with multiple swimmers and in multiple events.
“Districts used to be a final destination,” said Bellefontaine head swim coach Sharon Lewis. “Now, our goals are higher. We want the state meet to be our final destination.”
