Cheryl Lynn Forsythe, 61, of Lakeview, passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020, at her home.
Cheryl was born on July 5, 1959 in Kenton, a daughter of Dave Leiter of Belle Center, and the late Linda Phillips Leiter. She married Carl “Dave” Forsythe on June 26, 2004, at Long Island, Indian Lake, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 2009.
Cheryl is survived by her children, Brenda (Brian Holder) Moots-Holder of Lakeview, Bret Brown of Lakeview, and Amy (Ward) Cartwright of Belle Center, four grandchildren, Bostyn Moots, Cohen Brown, Cash and Charli Cartwright, four siblings, Cindy (Bobby) Richter of Lakeview, Allen (Deb) Leiter and Jeff (Dina) Leiter, both of Belle Center, and Bob (Carol) Leiter of Russells Point, and several nieces and nephews.
Cheryl was a 1977 graduate of Ben Logan High School. She worked at NEX Transport for 20 years. Cheryl was a member of Belle Center United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, and gardening. Cheryl’s greatest joy came from being with her family, watching football with family at Sunday dinner and every minute she spent with her grandchildren.
Pastor Kevin Smith will begin funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Belle Center United Methodist Church, 202 E. Main St, Belle Center. Visitation is Friday, Aug. 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial is in Belle Center Fairview Cemetery. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, attendees are asked to be symptom free, wear facial masks and use social distancing. In honor of Cheryl, please wear red, which was her favorite color.
Memorial contributions may be given in her name to Belle Center United Methodist Church.
