Charles Long, 50, of Mt. Victory, died Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center in Florida.
He was born on February 13, 1971, in Kenton to Janice (McCalla) Long of Mt. Victory and the late Melvin Long Sr.
Surviving are 2 sons; Jacob Long of West Mansfield, Austin Long of Mt. Victory, 2 sisters; Christina Long of Mt. Victory, Laurie (John) Wickersham of Kingsport, Tennessee, 2 brothers; Anthony “Tony” Long of Caldwell, Ohio, Melvin (Jane) Long Jr. of Mt. Victory and several nieces and nephews.
Charles was a 1989 Ridgemont High School graduate. He was a truck driver and a former Captain for the Mt. Victory Village Fire Department.
He was a member of the Kenton Eagles. Charles enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting, shooting at gun ranges, and had recently started gardening. He loved his family and his dog, “Street”.
Funeral services for Charles Long will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022, at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory with Pastor David Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Hale Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
