Charles D. Wilson, 53, of Lakeview, passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at Lima Memorial Health Systems.
Charles was born May 28, 1964, in Lima, a son of the late John and Violet Everhardt Wilson. He is preceded in death by a sister, Vicki Drake.
On June 30, 1984, he married Charlotte Bailey in Bellefontaine and she survives along with two children, Desiree (Pacer) Cooley of Lewistown and Cody (Cheyenne) Wilson of Harrod; five grandchildren, Destiny, Adrian, Dredyn, Drezdyn and Reighn; four siblings, Pam (Terry) Barker of Circleville, John (Diana) Drake of Bellefontaine and William Wilson and Brandon Wilson, both of Lima.
Charles was a 1983 graduate of Indian Lake High School. He was a contractor and owned and operated Wilson Construction for 27 years. Charles was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed fishing and playing softball. Charles always helped those he saw in need and was a supporter of Friends Serving Friends of Indian Lake. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends.
Rich Szima officiates funeral services at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, with visitation from noon to 2 and 4 to 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his name to Friends Serving Friends of Indian Lake and St. Jude’s.
