Alexander S. Pieper, 20, of 501 Gunntown Road, Apt. 117, was charged Saturday with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Around 3:45 p.m., an officer on patrol observed the suspect engaging in sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl in a car parked behind the former Staples Office Super Store, 2250 S. Main St.
The girl was released to her mother and the suspect was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Domestic leads to arrest
Tanito L. Petaway, 38, of 506 S. Detroit St., was charged Sunday with domestic violence.
Around 10:50 a.m., police were called to the residence regarding a male suspect breaking out windows.
Upon their arrival, the defendant demanded police handcuff him and take him to jail.
Ashley Clark, of the same address, told officers the suspect began breaking windows and she sustained two small cuts on the back of her left leg. The suspect also allegedly threw a liquor bottle at her.
He was lodged in jail.
