Dr. Mark Caleb Smith, director of the Cedarville University Center for Political Studies, is a featured speaker for two sessions Sunday, Oct. 30, at McKees’ Creek Chapel, 4750 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty.
In the 10:30 a.m. morning service, Dr. Smith will speak about a Biblical view of government from Romans 13:1-7.
At an evening service at 5 p.m., the topic will be “What do we owe government?” following with a question-and-answer session.
Dr. Smith, an associate professor of political science, is frequently interviewed about political events by local TV and radio stations in Ohio and around the nation.
His primary research interest is in the field of religion and American politics. He has authored numerous refereed journal articles, book chapters, and other publications.
Before joining the faculty at Cedarville, Dr. Smith taught at Tulane University and Calvin College.
