Carolyn A. Perdue, 76, of Milford Center, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
She was born May 11, 1941 a daughter of the late Harold Franklin and Mildred Irene Marshall McCombs. Carolyn was a 1959 graduate of Triad High School. “Hemaw” enjoyed flower gardening, being around her family, and, most of all, sharing memories with her grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Roxanne (Dwayne) Kitchen, Lana Fraley, Nicole (Dwayne) Miller, Sara Perdue and Willa (Don) Peters; sons, Mike Perdue and Flint (Karen Castle) Perdue; sister, Janette Clements; brothers, Larry McCombs, Jack McCombs, Jesse McCombs and Stanley McCombs; grandchildren, Grace (Justin) Brown, Justin Snyder, Samantha “Sami Jo” Snyder, Ciera Miller, Samantha “Sam” Hill, Jeremy Perdue, Shannon Perdue, Abcde “Abby” Guevara, Skylar Young, Shay Hamilton, Ashley Peters, Joshua Knox, Zandor Hoffer, Katie (Roger) Dewey and Courtney Mecheam; great grandchildren, Alana Davis, Marvin Davis, Adian Dewey, Kaidence Dewey and Carson Schultz; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Richard “Hapaw” Perdue; son, Allen Perdue; grandson, Nicholas Blair; sisters, Donna Evans, Patty McCombs, Linda Sells and Janet Caroll; brothers, Gary McCombs, Roy McCombs, Darrell McCombs, Laurel McCombs, and Jimmy McCombs.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, in the Freshwater, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home in North Lewisburg, where calling begins at 11 a.m. Pastor Aaron McCombs officiates. Burial follows in Milford Cemetery, Milford Center.
