Carl Burkholder, 72, of US 68 N., Bellefontaine, OH passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus, OH after a six month illness.
He was born on September 9, 1948, in Bremen, Indiana, the son of the late Joseph Jr. and Fannie (Slabaugh) Burkholder.
On May 1, 1969, he married Rosetta Miller and she preceded him in death in 2017.
He is survived by his 10 children; Ann Marie (Joseph) Miller of Houstonia, MO, Nathan Burkholder of Jackson, OH, Philip (Eleanor) Burkholder of Jackson, OH, Janet (James) Miller of Huntsville, OH, Thomas (Susan) Burkholder of Rushsylvania, OH, Rachel (Timothy) Gingerich of Jackson, OH, Amelia (Leroy) Weaver of Sarasota, FL, Abigail (Elvin) Kropf of Harrisburg, OR, Micah Burkholder of Rushsylvania, and Bethany Burkholder of Amarillo, TX, 27 grandchildren, three sisters, Sylvia (Emery) Chupp, Fern (Mervin) Miller, Linda (Kenneth) Menzie, and three sisters-in-law, Esther (Ora) Miller, Susie (Dietrich) Fehr and Fern Burkholder.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters; Edith (Ammon) Hochstetler, Ward (Verda) Burkholder, Earl (Esther) Burkholder, Ray (Lorene) Burkholder, Owen (Susie) Burkholder, Ruth Ann (Mel) Miller, and Wayne (Fern) Burkholder.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 1 to 3pm and 5 to 8pm at the Steven Coblentz residence, 7443 Co. Rd. 49, Belle Center, OH 43310, where Bishop David Yoder officiates the funeral service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, June 20, 2021. Burial will be in the Belle Center Amish Cemetery.
