Benjamin Logan Elementary third-grade teacher Ashley Solano has taken a creative approach to engage learners in a review of material with a unique learning environment at the end of the school year. “We’ve been having a blast reviewing everything we learned in third-grade this week at Camp Solano. We turned our dividers into tents and had a real tent sent in by a family in our class! We’ve sung many camp songs and written our own versions. Students are writing scary campfire stories to share with their classmates at the end of the week. In math, we have had many adventures, including a challenge to collect all the parts of a s’more and traveling around Southeast Asia to answer math questions to save the Sunbears. In reading, we reviewed text features by reading a book about animal scat and had lots of laughs. It’s been a great week full of fun learning.” (BENJAMIN LOGAN PHOTO)
