Calvary Christian’s girls basketabll team edged Bowling Green 40-38 in an ICSO semifinal tournament game on Thursday.
The Spartans have now won six straight and are 15-7 on the season. They play for the conference championship on Saturday.
Against Bowling Green, Calvary led the entire game. The Spartans were up by 15 points at one point. Bowling Green hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to close the gap to within two points.
Elisha Carter led the Spartans with 15 points and Katie Thompson was close behind with 14 points. Keri Howard and Mataya Penhorwood each chipped win with four points.
Prior to the contest, Carter and Thompson were recognized as all-league selections.
Calvary Christian travels to Kingway Christian today for an Ohio Christian School Athletic Association tournament game. The winner will advance to the state final four at Ohio Christian University on March 3 and 4.
