Brothers Skyler Eckelbarger, 19, of St. Paris, and Keegan Eckelbarger, 23, of Urbana, each wascharged with domestic violence related to an incident Monday afternoon at 11111 Shawnee Path, Chippewa, Lakeview.
Deputies responded to the area about 3:05 p.m. after receiving a report from Skyler’s girlfriend, Dixie Johnson, 18, of St. Paris. She said the two brothers were outside fighting and had just left the area.
Johnson said her vehicle’s windshield was damaged by Keegan during the fight after he threw a flashlight at the vehicle.
Deputies also spoke with Julie Tate, 23, of St. Paris, who reported that she observed Skyler strike Johnson and in the process, he also struck a baby that she was holding in her arms. Deputies observed a red spot on the child’s head, and paramedics were called to the scene to check the infant.
Tate also said Skyler began to spit at her during the confrontation.
Both brothers were located by deputies and were placed under arrest. They were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
