Brandy Michelle Hunter, 42, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
Brandy was born March 23, 1976, in Washington, D.C., to the late Gary William and Georgia JoAnn Mullins Wilson. On Nov. 4, 1998, in Yorktown, Va., she married George “Melvin” Hunter III, and he survives.
Brandy not only spent 25 years caring for her husband and children, she cared for everyone who came her way. Brandy was a woman of many talents. She knew all the right words to say about any situation. She loved to cook, and feed those who needed to be fed. Her smile would light up as she hit the dance floor, and she enjoyed getting her nails done. She also enjoyed traveling, and watching her nightly Big Bang theory TV show. Brandy was strong willed, and had a heart of gold. Her greatest blessing was her granddaughter, who she shared many laughs and giggles with.
Warrior is the word we would use to describe Brandy. She loved life, and lived it to the fullest, and was a total “diva” in everyone’s eyes. She seemed to be able to simply impress a stranger. She was the glue that kept everyone and everything together. Her spirit will remain strong in everyone who was brought into her life. We love you, and you will truly be missed.
She is also survived by children, Cheyanne McKenzie Hunter, Alexis Marie Hunter and Tylin Reese Hunter; granddaughter, Zhi’Lynn Michelle Mae Powell; grandmother, Betty Mullins; sisters, Jena Marie Wilson, Christina (David) King and Chandra (Tanee) Yemsvat; many nieces; uncle, Phil (Yvonne) Mullins; aunt, Candance Mullins; several cousins; mother-in-law, Elsie Kearney; father-in-law, George (Vanessa) Hunter; and several other loving family members.
She also was preceded in death by her grandfather, William R. Mullins; and cousin, Kelsey Kauffman.
Funeral services are at 5 p.m. Thursday, march 14, at Christ Our King Church, following calling that begins at 3:30 p.m.
