A 10-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle around 7:50 p.m. Saturday in the 11000 block of State Route 366 when he ran from an ice cream truck into the path of a van.
Carter H. Dawson, of 8977 Princess Road, Lakeview, sustained incapacitating injuries, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report, and was taken by an Indian Lake squad to Mary Rutan Hospital where he was treated and released.
He was hit by a westbound van operated by Jamie M. Wright, 26, of Cincinnati. She was cited for no operator’s license.
Teen cited in crash
Jordan C. Milledge, 17, of Springfield, was cited for failure to control after a 6 p.m. injury crash on Saturday on U.S. Route 33 near Township Road 37.
He was eastbound and lost control of an sport utility vehicle which went off the right side and slammed into a guardrail and traveled into a ditch.
He sustained possible injuries and was transported by a Bellefontaine squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.
Damage was heavy to the SUV and he was cited for failure to control.
Passenger eats pills
Lisa G. Johnson, 46, of Middletown, was charged with tampering with evidence after a 5:45 p.m. traffic stop in the 200 block of Lincoln Boulevard in Russells Point.
She was a passenger in a car stopped for a marked lanes violation.
While checking on warrants, a volunteer firefighter was observing the stop and alerted deputies via a phone call that suspect was consuming drugs.
She admitted to consuming one prescription pain reliever but could not produce a prescription or pill bottle for the drug.
A search of her purse found numerous pills and a straw and spoon with suspected drug residue.
She was arrested on a warrant and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Man charged in domestic incident
Daniel O. Scott Jr., 39, of 308 N. Miami St., Quincy, was charged Saturday with two counts of domestic violence.
He allegedly returned home in the early morning hours intoxicated and began yelling at Misty Scott and her 15-year-old son, Blake Cox.
He allegedly grabbed Blake by the throat and Misty Scott intervened. The suspect turned on her and slammed his head into her nose.
He was taken into custody later in the morning at the residence and lodged in jail.
