Jennifer Davis receives National Art Education Association award
A longtime Benjamin Logan Schools art teacher was honored earlier this month with a distinguished national honor at the National Art Education Association’s conference in Boston recognizing her dedicated work to extend a love for art and learning to pupils and others in her classroom, school building and the community.
Benjamin Logan Middle School educator Jennifer Davis was named the recipient of the Western Region Middle Level Art Educator at the conference and she was honored at the conference March 14 alongside the three other winners representing the four total NAEA regions in the United States. The NAEA’s Western Region encompasses 16 states, with Ohio being the easternmost state, and also including other states in the Midwest, Great Lakes areas and as far south and west as Texas and New Mexico.
“There is no greater testament of your exemplary contributions to the field of visual arts education than being chosen for this prestigious award,” NAEA Executive Director Deborah B. Reeve said in a letter to Mrs. Davis.
“Your colleagues throughout the United States and abroad join the NAEA Board of Directors in applauding your leadership, commitment and service to the profession.”
