Four Benjamin Logan High School juniors have recently been selected by area American Legion Posts to attend the American Legion Buckeye Boys State Conference this summer at Miami University.
The American Legion Wood-Rosebrook Post 745, East Liberty, has selected students Andrew Hughes and Grady Algire for the program.
The American Legion Williard Stout Post 266, Belle Center, has selected Ryan Freeman and Alec Rodenberger to attend.
The American Legion Buckeye Boys State takes place for June 13 to 20 at the campus in Oxford, Ohio. It is a hands-on experience in the operation of the democratic form of government, the organization of political parties and the relationship of one to the other in forming Ohio government.
Founded in 1936, Buckeye Boys State is the largest Boys State program in the nation, with an annual attendance of more than 1,200 young men.
