Bellefontaine City Schools recently received news that Samantha Starkey, a Bellefontaine High School senior, was selected to serve on the Ohio Attorney General’s 2020-2021 Teen Ambassador Board.
After completing a strenuous application process, Samantha was chosen to be one of approximately 400 students to represent 68 counties throughout the state.
The Ohio Attorney General’s Teen Ambassador Board is open to high school juniors and seniors who are motivated, enthusiastic, self-starters and are interested in law and government. The mission of the Teen Ambassador Board is to provide Ohio’s future leaders with an inside look at Ohio law and government.
Young men and women, like Samantha, who have distinguished themselves will serve a one-year term to advise the Attorney General’s Office on issues relating to teens.
Board Members work alongside their peers to solve problems and develop solutions to improve the lives of Ohioans. Ambassadors will also have the opportunity to receive training on important and pertinent matters, meet with elected officials and interact with the assistant attorneys general.
