After suffering its first loss of the season Monday, Bellefontaine’s boys tennis team got back into the win column Tuesday with a 3-2 Central Buckeye Conference victory over visiting London.
The Chiefs are now 5-1 overall and 5-0 in the CBC. London falls to 5-2, 4-2.
Bellefontaine is currently in first place in the CBC standings.
Bellefontaine swept the two doubles matches and also picked up a win at second singles.
The Chiefs’ first doubles team of Drew Phillips and Trey Taylor won 6-3, 6-1 over Alex Homan and Cade Spring, while the Chiefs’ second doubles unit of Elias Abrego and Bryce Harris defeated Will Kerry and Isaiah Capell 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Bellefontaine’s Xavier Sims earned a 6-1, 6-4 win over Blake Dailey in the second singles match.
The Chiefs’ Truman Howell was defeated by Zach Wall 6-4, 6-4 at first singles and Garrett Brede was defeated by Isaac Capell 6-2, 6-1 at third singles.
Bellefontaine is back in action today as they host Northeastern.
