With a talented group of golfers returning this fall, Bellefontaine’s girls showed they are a force to contend with Friday by winning the Central Buckeye Conference preseason tournament at Cherokee Hills Golf Course.

The Chieftains won the Kenton Trail championship with a team score of 385, which was also the best score of any league team on Friday. Jonathan Alder took second with 469 and Tecumseh was third with 497. Springfield Shawnee and Kenton Ridge did not post team scores.
