Benjamin Logan boys take fifth

Bellefontaine’s girls and boys earned third-place finishes to highlight its own Chieftain Relays Friday inside AcuSport Stadium.
Marysville won the girls 10-team meet by battling past River Valley 89.5-86. Bellefontaine was third with 77.5 points. Ben Logan’s girls finished ninth with 35 points.
The Monarchs also won the boys 10-team meet by edging Columbus DeSales 78-77The Chieftain boys tied Delaware Hayes for third with 59 points each. The Raiders came in fifth with 55 points.
Highlighting the meet was the Chieftain girls shuttle hurdles relay, which broke the school record held sine 2008. The group of Zoe Price, Caityln Shumaker, McKayla Hayes and Destiny Rogan had a winning time of 1:07.03.
Bellefontaine’s girls team also saw a win from the shot put relay of Shelby Fogan, McKenzie Haley and Anne West (97-7).
