Seventeen Bellefontaine High School students recently attended the Ohio DECA Career Development Conference at the Columbus Convention Center.
Five students qualified for nationals in Atlanta on April 23-26: Dainela Salcedo Hernandez, Ellise St. Clair, and Avery Plikerd, second in the state, Start Up Business Plan; Zach Horvath, third in the state, Business Growth Plan; and Emma Middaugh, fourth in the state, Hospitality and Tourism Professional Selling.
Chloe Lloyd, Marco Martinez, and Seth Taylor will represent BHS at the Aspire and Elevate Leadership Academies.
Other Chiefs competing at the state conference included:Austin Hammond and Jordan Butler, Independent Business Plan; Raelynn Kirkpatrick, Professional Selling; Chloe Lloyd – Business Operations Research;
Marco Martinez and Seth Taylor, Entrepreneurship Teams; and Layci Salyer and Maddie Williams, Hospitality and Tourism Teams
Lily Palmer, Keagon Overton-Story, Mia Oppy and Ashton Carey participated as voting delegates.
