Bellefontaine’s boys tennis team was defeated by Northwestern 5-0 in a Central Buckeye Conference match.
The Chiefs are now 2-3 on the season.
Bellefontaine’s Hunter Karg was defeated 6-1, 6-0 at first singles, Maverick Calton lost 6-0, 6-3 at second singles and Kasey Middaugh fell 6-0, 6-1 at third singles.
The Chiefs’ first doubles team of Cam Neer and Jackson Strzalka was defeated 6-0, 7-5 at first doubles, while Aiden Hartley and Simon Stolly suffered a 6-0, 6-3 loss at second doubles.
In reserve doubles action, Shawn Heft and Ben Sailors won 6-4, 6-2, Harsh Bakshi and Brooks Verhoff lost 6-2 in a single set and Nathan Conner and Middaugh lost a single set 6-4.
Bellefontaine hosts Tecumseh on Monday.
