Bellefontaine’s boys golf team tested itself Monday at the Beavercreek Invitational and finished in a tie for 10th with 337 points at Beavercreek Golf Club, the same course the Chieftains will play on for the district tournament.
Nicklaus Lyons fired a 79 to power the Chieftains’ efforts, Connor Adelsberger had an 83, Dillon Robb shot an 85, Javon Warner carded a 90, Hunter Karg had a 96 and Derek McNutt posted a 105.
“I was really happy for Nicklaus to play well,” said BHS head coach Jason Steider. “Connor also played very steady today and Dillon bettered his goal for the day. We’ve got a big week with this invitational, our match with (Springfield) Shawnee (today) and the league postseason tournament on Thursday. So it was great to be able to play our district course and really test ourselves against some of the top teams in the state.”
