Betty Lou Marine Lowry, 90, of Marysville passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021 at Brookdale of Marysville.
She was employed in inspection and as a machine operator with Nestle’s for over 27 years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Betty was a 1948 graduate of Union Rural High School in Milford Center and was a lifetime member of VFW Post #3320 Ladies Auxiliary where she served as a past president. She enjoyed camping, attending country and western concerts, gardening and tending to her flowers and tomato plants. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family at family functions, especially family reunions.
She was born Nov. 10, 1930, in North Lewisburg, to the late Herbert A. and Gretchen G. Mullin Young. She married Harold Marine on March 10, 1948, and he preceded her in death on April 1, 1982. She married Ralph Lowry Sr. on Sept. 12, 1992, and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2003.
Survivors include her step-children, Ralph (Melissa) Lowry, Jr., Mary Ann (Joel) Haynes, and Paul (Lois) Lowry, each of Marysville; James Lowry, Richwood; Martha “Marty” (Mike) Lipe, Bellefontaine; and William (Nicole) Lowry, Navarre, Fla.; 22 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Nettie Lowry and Vivian (Ron) Noggle and many cousins.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Reverend Jacob D. Heino will officiate and burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Covid precautions will be observed at the church.
