Local squad to meet Xenia again tonight in district final

Benjamin Logan’s Acme baseball team could not put Xenia away with its first chance Monday, but will get another shot tonight with a state berth on the line.
Coming out of the loser’s bracket, Xenia needed two wins over Ben Logan in the championship round to win the district title and advance to this weekend’s state tournament.
Following 10 innings of tightly contested baseball that saw the score deadlocked at 1-1, Xenia took advantage of a taxed Ben Logan pitching staff to score nine runs in the top of the 11th inning to stay alive with a 10-2 victory Monday at Blue Jacket Park.
