Bellefontaine’s boys basketball team suffered a tough loss Saturday night, losing 48-47 to host Northridge in a non-league game.
The Chiefs fall to 1-3 on the season. The Polar Bears are now 3-1.
Northridge jumped out to a 16-7 lead after one quarter and the Polar Bears led 22-16 at halftime.
Bellefontaine closed to within a point (34-33) after three quarters.
The score was tied 42-42 at the end of regulation, forcing an extra session.
Northridge then outscored the Chiefs 6-5 in overtime to pull out the win.
Carter Snapp and Tavien St. Clair each had 14 points. Riley Neer added nine points.
In the junior varsity game, Bellefontaine fell 56-40. Patrick Stolly led the Chiefs with 12 points.
Northridge won the freshman contest 49-43. Grayson Lotts led the Chiefs with 18 points.
Bellefontaine hosts Jonathan Alder on Friday.
