DINOVO |
The playing days for Bellefontaine senior baseball player Donovan Dinovo will be extended after he recently decided to continue his career at Wright State University-Lake Campus in Celina.
“I’ve wanted to play college baseball pretty much my entire life,” said Dinovo. “I an very humbled and blessed to have the opportunity to pursue four more years of baseball. Not everybody gets the chance to do this.”
Dinovo, an outfielder, will join a WSU-Lake program that is coming off a 27-18 season a year ago. It was the most successful campaign in team history.
“There were a lot of things I liked about it,” said Dinovo. “The location is good, it’s very affordable and I like how Coach (Chad) Geier runs his team.”
Also a basketball player at BHS, Dinovo has earned a reputation for his grit and his hustle.
“The biggest thing about Donovan is he is a guy that works hard and leads by example,” said Bellefontaine head baseball coach Mark Brunswick. “You want those types of kids to be rewarded by playing college baseball and getting a degree.”
