Bellefontaine’s girls tennis team dropped a 5-0 decision to host Jonathan Alder on Monday in Central Buckeye Conference play.
The Chiefs are now 1-5 over-all and 0-5 in the CBC, while the Pioneers improve to 5-1, 5-1.
“They have a pretty solid team,” said BHS head coach Jim Stein. “They won the league last year and their only loss so far this season was to Kenton Ridge, who is in first place in the league.
“I thought our girls did a pretty good job. We didn’t win any sets, but we had a couple of matches where we were close to getting to a third set.”
