Andy Bixler, a 1988 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, has been appointed the new president of the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s board of directors.
Bixler is the superintendent at Anna. He is replacing Steve Stern as the head of the OHSAA board. Stern’s term expired July 31.
Jeff Snyder, superintendent at Lincolnview, will serve as the vice president.
Bixler started his educational career as a math teacher at Brookville in 1992. After three years at Brookville, he moved to Preble Shawnee. He coached football, basketball and track and field at various levels at Preble Shawnee before taking over as the high school principal in 1999.
