Former Bellefontaine swimmer Amy Fulmer continues to make a major impact for her Ohio State swim team.
Fulmer on Wednesday was named the Big 10 Conference women’s swimmer of the week.
Fulmer won the 100 freestyle (48.46) and 200 freestyle (1:46.42) in a recent meet against Michigan. She also was part of the winning 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams.
She posted NCAA “B” cut times in both races.
Ohio State won the meet 152.5-147.5. It was the first win over Michigan for the Lady Buckeyes since the 2013-14 season.
This season, Fulmer has been part of 12 relay wins and eight individual wins, including four victories in the 400 freestyle.
A junior, Fulmer has already put together a sensational career for the Buckeyes.
She has earned firstteam All-American honors in the 100 freestyle (2020), 200 freestyle relay (2020, 2021), 400 freestyle relay (2020, 2021) and 800 freestyle relay (2021).
She was first-team all-Big 10 in 2020 and 2021 and is a two-time first team scholar All-American. She has also earned OSU scholar-athlete honors and academic all-Big 10 honors.
