Bellefontaine’s girls swim team finished first and the boys squad was second in a seventeam meet Wednesday at Trotwood-Madison.
The Lady Chiefs recorded 423 points to edge second-place Bellbrook (407).
Bellbrook won the boys meet with 434.5 points, while Bellefontaine was next with 264.5 points.
Amy Fulmer powered Bellefontaine with a school-record breaking performance in the 200 individual medley. She won the event with a time of 2:15.87.
Fulmer also won the 100 backstroke.
Bellefontaine’s Sarah Starkey picked up a pair of individual wins, taking first in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.
Shelby Starkey won both of her individual events as well. She took top honors in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly.
The Chieftain girls also won two relay races. The 200 freestyle relay team of Abby Kite, Sarah Starkey, Shelby Starkey and Amy Fulmer took first and the same foursome also enjoyed a victory in the 400 freestyle relay.
