Belle Springs Nursing & Rehab, 221 N. School St., is welcoming back its residents Monday and Tuesday to a newly renovated facility after residents were relocated in April to sister facilities in Waterville and Piqua as a safety precaution during the coronavirus pandemic.
The previous move was made to allow for more robust staffing at each of the facilities and after consulting with the Ohio Health Care Association, as well as the Ohio Department of Health, representatives stated in a previous Examiner article. There were no confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported at any of the facilities.
Thursday, Belle Springs, in collaboration with the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, hosted a Business After Hours reopening celebration.
The evening highlighted tours of the remodeled building featuring 24 newly renovated private suites, with 12 of those rooms including private showers.
Members of their leadership team helped to lead the tours, including two local community members pursing administrator-in-training careers, Lori Morris and Erin Henry.
There also was a special announcement welcoming back Dr. Gregg Fulmer as medical director, along with a ribbon cutting ceremony with help from the Logan County Chamber of Commerce.
The collaboration with Dr. Fulmer and Nurse Practitioner Sarah Donahue “will help keep us connected to local health care resources and professionals,” representatives said.
“The ceremony marked the organization’s continued reinvestment and focus on providing for and improving the quality of life of seniors in our community. Our facility is dedicated to the well being of our current residents, new residents and our staff. We look forward to serving you and your families for decades more to come.”
