Beatrice Louree Shoemaker Timms has been called to her Heavenly home on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.
Louree was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Homer, to the late John L. and Emma Snyder Shoemaker. She was president of the Delaware, Ohio, V.F.W. for two years, president of the Janthur Club of Columbus for two years and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Lakeview. She was a former resident of the Indian Lake area.
Louree is survived by her son, James (Barbara) Timms of Somerset; son-in-law, Robert Houchins of Lakeview; and was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles W. Timms; son, Terry L. Timms (Vietnam 1968); daughter, Charlotte L. Houchins; grandson, Charles W. Houchins; and life-long friend, Christine McNett.
Calling is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the New Lexington Baptist Church, 890 S. Main St., New Lexington, where services begin at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Tom Wallace officiating. Burial is in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad St., Columbus.
