Touring around the eastern United States is just a small part of what Bearadise Ranch is about, owner Monica Welde said.

In fact, the tour is only about two months out of each year, while the remaining 10 months are spent tending the 15-acre ranch at Myakka City, Fla.
The show, which is performed on the Logan County Fairgrounds at 5 and 8 p.m. nightly through Saturday with additional Sunday performances, is full of information about bears and the loss of their natural habitats, Welde said.
“Our family has been raising these bears since 1926,” she said, explaining that Johnny Johnson Welde began the company in Norway in 1926 before bringing his European brown bears to the United States in 1946.
