Barbara E. “Barbio” Fogt, 67, of Anna, passed away at 2:40 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018, at the Grande Lake Healthcare Center, St. Marys.
Barb was born May 11, 1950, to the late Joe and Delores Kettler Pequignot. On Dec. 13, 1969, she married Willis D. Fogt.
Barb is survived by brother, Gary E. (Rebecca) Pequignot of Quincy; sisters, Kathy A. (Bart) Smith and Kimberly M. Sowders, both of Jackson Center; and sister-in-law, Linda Pequignot of Piqua.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky P. Pequignot.
Barb also will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, Scott Pequignot; Kimberly Pequignot and her children, Hayden and Emiliano; Keesha (Bryan) Byrd and her children, Griffin, Jordan and Lyla; Cody (Kacey) Smith; Evan Sowders; Dakota Sowders; Heather (J.R.) Foster and her children, Aaron and Jacob; Lisa (Shane) Denson and her son, Karter; and Amber (Kyle) Banning and her son, Layne.
She attended Jackson Center High School and graduated in the class of 1968 and then began working for Yeasel Incorporated. She worked there for 33 years as a plastic mold injection supervisor. She then worked for 10 years in the kitchen at Jackson Center Local Schools. Barb retired in May 2015 from Jackson Center Schools.
Barb was a lifelong member of the VFW Auxiliary. She and her husband loved spending time browsing around flea markets. Barb’s greatest love was spending time with family and friends. She loved being with her family at cookouts and relaxing at the pond.
She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. Barbio — We Love You More!
Pastor David Sanders officiates a funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, April 6, at the Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 17714 Montra Road, Jackson Center.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 214 W. Pike St., Jackson Center, and one hour before the service on Friday. Burial is in Shelby Memory Garden Cemetery in Sidney.
